Why should I choose this course?
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (previously known as PTLLS) is a nationally accredited teaching qualification and provides an excellent introduction to the role of teaching.It is designed for those who would like to, work or currently work, within FE colleges, independent training providers and/or local authorities.
You will gain the skills and knowledge to prepare, plan, deliver and evaluate basic teaching and learning sessions in a variety of teaching or training contexts.

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training has been designed as the appropriate introductory qualification for those seeking a stepping stone to qualifications that enable them to teach in either an Associate Teacher or Full Teacher role* in the Lifelong Learning Sector in England. It is particularly suited to candidates who have at least a Level 3 qualification in the subject they want to teach to students aged 16 and over.
You will gain an understanding of:
- Your own role, responsibilities and boundaries of role in relation to teaching
- Appropriate teaching and learning approaches in the specialist area
- Session planning skills and demonstration of those skills
- How to deliver inclusive sessions which motivate learners
- Use of different assessment methods and feedback to learners the need for record keeping

This course also includes a business unit which goes over in depth how you could start up your new business venture
